Anne Burrell and Stuart Claxton celebrated their star-studded wedding at Windridge Estate in Cazenovia, New York on October 16, 2021. The charming village of Cazenovia is not only Anne’s hometown but also where the couple was engaged! Anne is a celebrity chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America on the Food Network, while Stuart works in ad sales at Univision. Celebrity guests in attendance included Alex GuarnaschelliJeff MauroMarc Murphy, and “Jersey Shore” star Jenni Farley.

Attire

The bride selected the first dress she tried on, a dreamy gown by Carolina Herrera. The groom and groomsmen sported classic black tuxedos by Ralph Lauren Purple Label paired with orange Nike high-top sneakers. The bridesmaids, including Anne’s sister, and celebrity chef Rachael Ray, wore coordinating burnt orange dresses.

Tented Ceremony

The bride arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and joined guests for a tented ceremony on the beautiful grounds of Windridge Estate. The guests were treated to an energized ceremony that perfectly reflected the style of the fun-loving couple.

The Gourmet Reception

The reception was celebrated in the Redbarn 20, an expansive barn that’s part of the Windridge Estate property. The tables were beautifully decorated with autumnal decor from Whistlestop Florist that included herbs, vegetables, and colorful leaves. All of the fresh produce was donated to a local food bank after the wedding.

Not to be outshined by the decor, the menu itself was a culinary feast provided by Diamond Catering.  Anne had personally developed the menu over many months. 

“The starter was a roasted cauliflower steak with cauliflower purée, crispy potato shoestrings with crème fraîche, and caviar. The pasta course was a goat cheese and pumpkin ravioli in a sage butter sauce, with frizzled brussels sprouts leaves, toasted pumpkin seeds, and pumpkin seed oil. For the entrée, they chose a duo plate of braised short ribs with a celery root and parsnip purée, and herb and potato crusted halibut on a bed of spaghetti squash, with Tuscan kale and pistachio pesto.”

Burrell’s close friend Buddy Valastro, star of The Cake Boss, delighted everyone with a towering cake. The unique wedding cake was half zucchini-cake, and half a delicate combination of olive oil, lemon, and rosemary.

The couple danced to “On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons, which was the product of a lot of practice and some help from a Broadway choreographer. Immediately following their first dance was a show-stopping balloon drop to kick-start the open dance floor. 

The wedding planner was Megan Hiltbrand of MLH Events, and Kerri Lynne Weddings captured the images of the day.
