Couples often ask if booking a unique wedding venue for their celebration is really worth it. Looking back on Lexi and Keagan’s August celebration, we know without a doubt that it is. Their weekend felt unhurried, personal, and full of joy.

The best way to start a wedding weekend in August? A backyard barbeque and pool party of course! What we loved most about this start to the weekend was seeing everyone gather at the Farmer Cottage.
The Farmer Cottage is more than a place to get ready. It often becomes the heart of the weekend. A place to gather for morning coffee, casual hangouts, and even before and after wedding events.
The pool party allowed family and friends to really settle in and feel connected by the time the big day rolled around. That’s the beauty of choosing a unique wedding venue for your wedding weekend. There is time and space to slow down and savor it all.

On Saturday, after a quiet morning of getting ready and exchanging private letters, Lexi and Keagan met under the Old Oak Tree to exchange vows. As one of our four ceremony options on the property, this one fit the bill perfectly for these two. The Old Oak Tree offers the best of all worlds. The tree itself as a timeless backdrop, the estate standing proud behind guests, the hills of Upstate New York in the distance, and our fountain completing the scene.
Lexi’s bouquet honored special family members, while hydrangeas and an arch framed the ceremony spot. After saying “I do”, Lexi and Keagan paused for the most iconic aisle kiss.

The reception is when things really started to come to life. Elegant design framed every space, yet you could feel the energy buzzing through the estate.
One of our favorite moments came when their best friend surprised them with a song written about them. There was not a dry eye in the Belvedere!
Later, Lexi and Keagan launched T-shirts into the crowd in an unforgettable surprise. They had printed their own faces on the shirts, and guests caught them like prized souvenirs. Moments like these remind us how a unique wedding venue allows couples to weave their personalities into every detail. We loved seeing The Architects’ Daughter vision come together across the estate

After the music ended, they shared a private last dance in the barn. The candlelight and unhurried pace made it a memory just for them. After this quiet moment, Lexi and Keagan headed out to a celebratory exit and last moment with all of their guests before heading off as a married couple.

Every part of Lexi and Keagan’s wedding reflected who they are. Guests came not only to witness a ceremony but to share a full weekend together. They laughed by the pool, cheered during the reception, and left with bonds that felt even stronger than before. Watching it all unfold reminded us of what matters most here: the chance for couples and their loved ones to connect in a way that feels lasting and real.

Lexi and Keagan showed us what is possible when a wedding becomes more than a single day. Their weekend combined elegance with spontaneity, tradition with surprise. Most of all, it gave everyone who attended the rare chance to slow down and celebrate together.
If you can picture your own story unfolding here, we would love to show you around. Schedule a tour at Windridge Estate and imagine your own weekend at a unique wedding venue with the entire property as your own.
