When people picture an intimate wedding, they often imagine a small venue with limited space. Taylor and Ian’s celebration at Windridge Estate was just the opposite. Their wedding felt personal and relaxed, all while taking place across the Estate’s luxe grounds.
From quiet moments with family to sunset speeches on the Bluestone Patio, every part of the day centered around the people they love most. Their wedding was a reminder that an intimate wedding isn’t about the size of the venue. It’s about creating space for meaningful moments.

Gorgeous light streamed through the windows of the Farmer’s Cottage as Taylor’s friends and family gathered around her to get ready. Erica Morris Photography captured sweet moments throughout the morning, from final touches before the ceremony to a group of flower girls lingering near a table of cupcakes, clearly debating whether it was too early for a treat.
Across the Estate, Ian spent the morning getting ready in the barn. It felt less like a formal start to a wedding day and more like a gathering of people who genuinely enjoy being together.
Before heading to the Stone Wall, Ian stepped outside with their dog for a quick walk along the gravel paths surrounding the barn. While the rest of the Estate prepared for the celebration ahead, the two enjoyed a few quiet moments together.
Those moments may seem small, but they say a lot about the day Taylor and Ian created. This wasn’t a wedding focused on a packed timeline. It was a day centered on celebrating and spending time with the people who matter most.

Some ceremony spaces don’t need much added to them, and Taylor and Ian knew exactly when to let the setting speak for itself.
The Stone Wall was framed by a cloudless blue sky and late summer landscaping bursting with shades of orange, red, and green. The landscape provided most of the color for the ceremony, while simple floral arrangements by Fleur Ruseé complemented the setting without competing for attention.
Guests settled beneath parasols as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Not only did they provide welcome shade on the sunny afternoon, but they also didn’t distract, allowing everyone to stay comfortable while keeping the focus exactly where it belonged.
Then came one of our favorite moments. Ian made his way down the aisle with their dog by his side, immediately bringing smiles to the faces of family and friends gathered at the Stone Wall.

After the ceremony, guests settled into the afternoon and made themselves at home across the Estate. Some gathered around lawn games while others found a shady spot to chat and enjoy the late summer weather.
Guests weren’t rushing from one event to the next or waiting for the next activity to begin. Instead, they followed the same easy pace Taylor and Ian had set earlier that morning, making time to enjoy the people around them and the setting they had gathered in.
It’s one of the reasons intimate weddings work so well at Windridge Estate. The property gives guests room to connect without feeling like every minute needs to be scheduled.

As the sun began to set, guests gathered on the Bluestone Patio for speeches and dancing.
Some of our favorite photos from the day were taken during the speeches. Rather than standing apart from their guests, Taylor and Ian listened from within the crowd, surrounded by the same family and friends who had been at the center of the day from the very beginning.
As the evening continued, Taylor and Ian shared one of the most memorable moments of the day by making their first pizzas as newlyweds with Via Napoli. It was fun, relaxed, and completely true to who they are as a couple.

Taylor and Ian’s wedding demonstrates that intimate celebrations don’t require smaller experiences. Sometimes, having more space creates more opportunities to connect with the people who matter most.
