For Emily and Kyle, coming home to get married in Upstate New York was always part of the plan. They met in college and have since moved down South, but Kyle grew up in Cazenovia and Emily just a few towns over. Choosing a Central New York wedding venue meant celebrating close to home, surrounded by family, friends, and a place that already meant something to them.

A Central New York Wedding Venue That Feels Like Home

Emily and Kyle’s wedding weekend kicked off with a gorgeous al fresco dinner on the Bocce Courts, one of the many outdoor spaces at Windridge Estate. They followed it with welcome drinks at Madison County Distillery, just down the road from the estate. It gave everyone a chance to catch up, welcome out-of-town guests and spend some time together before the wedding day.

The next morning, everyone had their own space to get ready around the estate. The groom’s party took over the White Barn, while the bridal party gathered at the Farmer’s Cottage. Having separate spaces right on the property meant no one had to rush around or travel between locations before the ceremony. It’s one of the things we love about hosting an entire weekend at a Central New York wedding venue like Windridge.

August gave them a beautiful, warm day, and the soft ivory and sage details fit right in. Florals and greenery carried throughout the property, from the getting-ready spaces to the ceremony and reception, tying everything together without taking away from the estate itself.

A Garden-Inspired Ceremony at the Stone Wall

Baskets overflowing with florals lined the aisle at the Stone Wall, giving the ceremony space a lush, garden-inspired feel. Guests were welcomed with a beverage station and views of the hills beyond. Emily walked down the aisle to The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun,” and the ceremony ended with a shower of flower confetti as the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle.

Cocktail Hour at the Belvedere Pavilion

While the newlyweds snuck away for photos, guests gathered in the Belvedere Pavilion and surrounding lawn. They enjoyed cocktails, yard games and passed hors d’oeuvres. The drink wall featuring craft cocktails was a hit, while lounge seating and high-top tables gave everyone plenty of space. 

Emily and Kyle clearly wanted their guests to have just as much fun as they did. Cocktail hour was only just the beginning. With great food, plenty of time to spend together and a late-night celebration still to come.

Dinner and Dancing at the White Barn

Introductions and first dances took place on the Bluestone Patio, surrounded by family and friends. Emily and Kyle shared their first dance to Chris Stapleton’s “Joy of My Life” before everyone headed into the White Barn for dinner.

Inside, guests were welcomed with a champagne toast and a seated dinner from Catering by Michael’s. Westcott Florist kept the florals simple and beautiful, with bud vases filled with delicate blooms lining the tables. 

Later, The Billionaires kept the dance floor packed, but there was plenty happening outside the barn, too. Guests could step out for some fresh air, visit the fire pit, then head right back inside when their song came on.

A Celebration That Stayed True to Them

When the reception wrapped, the party wasn’t quite over. Guests headed to Caz Sports Bowl, just a few minutes away, to keep the night going.

Looking back at Emily and Kyle’s weekend, it’s hard not to notice just how much
