As the 2025 wedding season comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on the year that unfolded here at Windridge Estate. Each weekend brought a new love story, shaped by the gorgeous backdrop of Upstate New York and the time couples spent on the estate celebrating with their closest friends and family. This past year also brought exciting growth for the estate. A few meaningful wedding venue updates shaped how couples and guests experienced their weekends here, and we’re looking ahead with excitement to what’s next.

Wedding Venue Updates That Shaped the 2025 Season

Taking the Barn Back to its Roots

One of the most noticeable wedding venue updates this season was the reception barn’s fresh exterior. Returning the barn to its original white, paired with the Estate’s signature trim color, was a natural choice. It honors the history of the property while creating a softer, more timeless backdrop for wedding weekends.

The barn now feels lighter and more modern, aligning with other updates made around the Estate, including the Farmer’s Cottage refresh. The architecture remains the focal point, while the fresh exterior gives couples a blank canvas. Each weekend, we saw how personal details elevated the space in different ways, allowing every celebration to feel distinct while still feeling like a classic Windridge wedding.

A Refreshed and Redesigned Farmer’s Cottage

The Farmer’s Cottage continued to play a central role in the wedding weekend experience, and this year’s redesign focused on making it feel even more like home for couples and their families. The vision focused on more than just style. Our intention was to spruce up the space, while adding practical enhancements to make the day run smoothly from start to finish.

Hair and makeup teams especially love how much natural light comes in and the full-length mirrors that were added to the space. These additions made getting ready together a breeze, and the wedding party was able to prepare for the day in a space that felt as fresh and beautiful as they did.

To keep a part of Cazenovia at the heart of the cottage, we partnered with Michelle and Lisa at Decor & More of CNY, a locally-based interior design team. Like other spaces on the Estate, the classic charm of Upstate New York combines with fresh textures and design to create a balance of old and new. Looking Ahead: Wedding Venue Updates Coming for 2026

While the 2025 season holds a special place for us, we’re always looking ahead to ways we can continue enhancing the wedding weekend experience at Windridge Estate.

A New Pickleball Court

In 2026, our new pickleball court will open on the property. It’s a small addition that we know will make a big impact. Because wedding weekends are about more than the ceremony and reception. Some of our favorite moments happen in between, on the lawn, around the pool, and now on the pickleball court.

We can already picture the friendly (or maybe very competitive!) matches unfolding throughout the weekend. Giving friends and family another reason to slow down and enjoy the time together.

Thoughtful Additions Around the Estate

In addition to new gathering spaces, several thoughtful enhancements are being introduced for the 2026 season. This is to further support comfort, connection and ease throughout the weekend.

New umbrellas will be added for ceremonies, to provide shade on warm days. We’re also expanding our collection of lounge seating. Giving couples more built-in options for guests to gather and relax throughout the weekend. Without the need for extra rentals. New lawn games, including croquet, will offer moments of fun in between the more traditional events of the weekend.

While each update may feel subtle on its own, together they help shape the kind of experience couples and guests can expect at Windridge. One that feels unhurried, welcoming, and thoughtfully considered from start to finish.

Looking Toward 2027

Our 2026 calendar is officially full, and we’re now welcoming inquiries for 2027 wedding weekends. Weekend availability is limited, and we encourage couples to reach out early. Windridge Estate is designed for those who value connection, comfort, and an unhurried approach to celebrating.

If you’re beginning to imagine what your celebration could look like here, we’d love to invite you to tour the estate and experience it for yourself. Tours will start back up in Spring of 2026 and we’d love to see you then!
