Two Thousand Twenty-Three rings in a fresh take on your favorite Upstate New York wedding venue! It is important to us that our clients and their guests have the best experience at our venue. Therefore, every year we put more time, energy, and money BACK into the business! Take a look at when we did this year, and how 2023 is going to be even better!
2022 Recap
This year was chock-full of new surprises! We built Belvedere, our event pavilion that has been the perfect addition for covered cocktail hours, ceremonies, and peripheral events.
Next came an addition to our team. We were very excited to bring Elizabeth of Paper Crane Calligraphy on! She now includes a basic planning service for all of our clients, reducing stress and saving them time planning their weddings. She has also taken a role in our social media, website, and branding aspects – helping us bring our vision to life behind the scenes.
And of course, there is our new website! This has been a labor of love. Our goal was to have our website reflect our property and what we offer better- what do you think? Let us know!
New Inventory
We pride ourselves in including so much with our venue rentals. One of those items that make a significant impact for our couples is access to our inventory which ranges from specialty auxiliary tables, and decor to lounges. We keep track of trends and secure popular items and this year we added items we hope will make it easier for couples to bring their vision to life! See some of our new items below:
The White Barn Interior Refresh
Our beloved White Barn has been the go-to spot for post-reception gatherings, as well as cocktail hour locations. This might be because of the access to wide open space for lawn games (that are night-friendly), including our bocce courts, and nearby firepit. One of the more popular bar options have been a late-night self-serve whiskey bar as well. Armed with this information, we looked to tackle the vintage furniture and large center table to create a space better laid out for these events.
Removing the vintage furniture, we chose two matching chesterfield couches. We love their timeliness style and the leather means we can continue to be smoke-friendly (Rocky’s has a great on-site live cigar rolling option!).
A New Space for Tented Weddings
The number of requests for tented weddings has increased and, as we are always listening to our amazing clients, we have an answer! Tucked into the tree line, and just across from the orchard grove, a newly cleared and leveled space will be made specifically for tented receptions. Photos to come in the spring.
