Purpose Coffee Co. is much more than a neighborhood coffee shop. As a charitable business, every cup supports a greater purpose, making it a meaningful stop during your stay. They roast their own beans in-house, and guests can purchase a bag to bring a little piece of Cazenovia home with them. Couples can even incorporate Purpose Coffee beans into their wedding favors, giving guests a thoughtful reminder of the weekend after the celebration ends.

The Pewter Spoon Café is another spot we always recommend to couples and their guests. Also located just two minutes from Windridge Estate in downtown Cazenovia, it’s the kind of place you can visit throughout the day. Stop in for breakfast in the morning, grab one of their hearty sandwiches for lunch, or return later for a glass of wine or local beer. Guests consistently praise the welcoming staff, and with both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s an easy place to gather between wedding festivities.

If you’re looking for a classic diner experience, Dave’s Diner can’t be missed. The diner serves homemade breakfast and lunch made with local ingredients, with breakfast available all day for anyone who believes pancakes taste just as good at noon. Pair your meal with a cup of freshly brewed Purpose Coffee, then save room for ice cream if you’re visiting during the summer.

Spend Time in Downtown Cazenovia

One of the things we love most about Cazenovia is that there’s no need to create a busy itinerary while visiting! Some of the best moments happen simply by walking through the village.

Downtown is filled with locally owned boutiques, specialty shops, and historic buildings that give the community its distinctive character. 

For guests with a free Saturday morning, don’t miss the Cazenovia Farmer’s Market. Local vendors fill the village with fresh produce, artisan foods, flowers, handcrafted goods, and live music throughout the season. Whether you’re picking up fresh pastries for breakfast or finding a unique souvenir to take home, it’s one of the best ways to experience our local community.

Parks, Waterfalls, and Scenic Views

While the village is full of charm, the countryside surrounding Cazenovia offers an entirely different experience. Nearby parks, waterfalls, and scenic landscapes make it easy to spend an afternoon outdoors before or after the wedding festivities.

Lakeland Park sits along the edge of Cazenovia Lake and offers beautiful views throughout the year. Guests can stroll the walking paths, relax on a bench, or just take in the scenery before returning to the excitement of the wedding weekend.

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is one of our favorite hidden gems. Set across more than 100 acres, the park blends contemporary art with the natural landscape, allowing visitors to discover sculptures and installations as they explore miles of walking trails. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful afternoon outdoors, it’s a one-of-a-kind destination that reflects the creativity and natural beauty of the area. 

For guests who enjoy waterfalls, both Delphi Falls and Chittenango Falls are well worth the short drive from the Estate. Each features impressive views, making them rewarding stops for anyone looking to spend time outdoors. They’re perfect for guests arriving early, extending their stay, or wanting to explore more of Upstate New York between wedding events.

Where to Eat in Cazenovia

For a different experience, The Brae Loch Inn has welcomed guests with Scottish-inspired hospitality for generations. Family-owned and known for its warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s a favorite for rehearsal dinners, family meals, and relaxed evenings together over hearty, comforting cuisine.

The Lincklaen House has been part of downtown Cazenovia for nearly two centuries and is known as the oldest continuously operating grand hotel in Central New York. Along with its historic accommodations, the hotel offers fine dining in a setting that reflects the village’s long history and timeless character.

If you’re looking for something a little more casual, Meier’s Creek Brewing Company is where it all began for the local brewery. The Cazenovia location features a full restaurant, locally crafted beer on tap, indoor and outdoor seating, and stunning views of the surrounding property.
