Fall weddings have been increasingly popular in Upstate New York- and we love it! Having three on-site venues and several other accommodating features means we can host these picture-perfect weddings with the flexibility fall weddings need. Bridget and Tim’s late October wedding was the epitome of an Upstate fall wedding, with dramatic sun rays, and a color palette that played off the foliage.
With a wedding suite and accessories that embodied their design, making sure their photographer had enough time to capture the details was important! A fresh take on timeless pieces, the time they gave their photographer set the scene for what was sure to be a stunning day. You can see here that burgundy and gold warm their otherwise neutral color palette. Warm palettes are perfect for fall weddings because they play off the natural landscape colors. These photos will surely make for a stunning beginning to their photo album!
The girls took advantage of the crisp morning air to head outside to open their bottle of champagne! They cheered loudly as they celebrated their loved one, Bridget.
Just across the property, the guys were getting ready in the White Barn. Whiskey was poured, and they were able to use the indoor space as well as the bocce courts outside to maximize their own fun. Name a better fall wedding drink to warm you down to your toes!
The black tuxes were not only seasonally appropriate but played nicely with the trendy silk slip dresses worn by the bridesmaids. If needed, you can gift your bridesmaids a jacket or a pashmina to make sure the gals are ready for warmer days and cooler nights.
Choosing St. Cecilia’s Church in Syracuse, New York was the best fit for our couple. The sentimental ceremony was stunning. Following the service, guests moved to Windridge Estate where they could see the property for the first time!
Cocktail hour took place at the Belvedere. Our newly-built event pavilion was the perfect choice for the weather to keep guests comfortable. The oversized charcuterie display paired perfectly with their autumn-themed signature cocktail. The Apple Cinnamon Mule did not disappoint and certainly embodied the Fall in New York vibes
What better way to greet guests to a Fall wedding than with glinting mirrors to catch the amber sunlight? The seating chart did just that, and the table setting brought it all together. The cream tablecloths, gold flatware, and sparkling champagne reflected the warm wood tones of the RedBarn 20 reception venue. This goes back to our note from earlier, that warm tones work best with the natural foliage during the fall months, especially in Upstate New York.
Fall wedding months can mean cooler days and even cooler nights. To keep your guests comfortable make sure there are ways to stay warm. Providing shawls is a thoughtful gesture, and we even have wool blankets on-hand for any surprise cool evenings. The additional outdoor portable heaters also add to outdoor comfort. Finally, and perhaps the best one, make sure your entertainment gets your group on the dance floor! A rockin’ band will get guests up on their feet and dancing (and dare we say sweating) in no time.
There’s no exit like a sparkler exit! Light up the night with sparks flying, the perfect way to end your Upstate New York Fall wedding.
